For more than 20 years LiSC has been and remains an exclusive independent senior networking group of leading practitioners helping to shape the future of the supply chain profession. Operating under the umbrella of CILT(UK) we share best practice, encourage thought leadership and promote networking with peers.
Self-funded the group meets four times per year, allowing the group to debate current issues with high profile speakers, about themes and topics suggested by our members.
A careful balance between retailers, manufacturers, academics, consultants, IT providers, third party logistics providers and government ensures each event maximises its effectiveness and creates a lively debate!
Our speakers share their experiences and delegates debate the current and desired levels of awareness and understanding of the supply chain in the Boardroom, and how collaboration across organisations is essential to business improvement.
The group seeks to identify the role supply chain leaders should play in bringing a SCM mind set to an organisation.
The Executive Committee of the group is currently chaired by Calum Lewis (LEGO) and meets four times a year to develop the group’s strategy and events, based on feedback from members in the Topics Survey, delegate feedback from events and ad-hoc feedback from members. The members of the Executive Committee welcomes feedback and constructive comment from members and non-members, focussed on improving the quality of the events and output from LiSC meetings, the activities of LiSC and any thoughts on how the group could be improved.
If an existing LiSC member has an interest in joining the Executive Committee they should contact Zoe Buss for further information.
LiSC have an active LinkedIn group for members, which is used for discussing topical subjects, future events and matters of interest to the LiSC community. It provides a valuable forum for obtaining senior logisticians’ feedback on a wide variety of subjects relevant to the industry.
