East Midlands Chamber is delivering this event on behalf of the Smart Innovation and Networking for Growth (SING) project. This project is part-funded through ERDF and delivered by the iNet through Loughborough University.

  • New technological developments in the sector - Microlise
  • The future of diesel vehicles in the sector – Detail provided from the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport construction supply chain forum, who are looking at Ultra Low Emission Zones (ULEZ)and Euro 6 Emission Standards in relation to their work with Transport for London. Also with regards to future emissions standards and impact on vehicles which include retrofitting, new vehicles etc and how it may impact across all vehicles
  • Details of the support available which includes a mixture of fully funded access to expertise and cooperation with university research centres and institutes and part-funding (grant) towards external costs of innovation projects - Loughborough University iNET


Managed by The iNet and based at Loughborough University, SING will make it easier for SMEs to accelerate their development and implementation of new products, processes and services, as well as working with UK research institutes .

Businesses must be based in Leicester & Leicestershire Local Enterprise Partnership area (LLEP) and be engaged in the general area of one of LLEP’s priority sectors, which include:

  • Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering
  • Creative Industries
  • Food and Drink Manufacturing
  • Logistics and Distribution
  • Low Carbon Technologies
  • Textile Manufacturing

D & G Coach and Bus was formed by David Reeves and Gerald Henderson in 1998.  Initially the company operating school contracts with Stoke on Trent City Council but soon the business expanded taking on more routes and requiring more buses.  Following a period of sales and acquisitions  D & G is now the largest independent bus operator  in Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire, Cheshire, Derbyshire, Shropshire and Greater Manchester with over 100 buses from their main depot in Monmore Green, Stoke on Trent and subsidiary depots in Crewe and Northwich.

Back again for another year!

Come and enjoy a social evening at Chester Races and witness some exciting horse racing with the Cheshire CILT committee. We plan to spectate from the Tattersalls stand, which provides access to bars, food and book-makers (should you fancy a flutter). The stand is covered, but please dress accordingly to the weather, as the book-makers and bars are not covered - smart-casual dress is recommended.

Parking is available at the racecourse, but please note this fills up quickly on race days. There is a number of other pay & display options across Chester, which can be found via Google.
