Start Date:03/04/2017 14:00:00
End Date:03/04/2017 15:00:00
Event Code:WR0362
Description:

 When: 3 April 2017, 2pm

Speaker: Adrian Botham, Director at Servispart Consulting

The inaugural event from the new S&OP, Service and Servitisation Forum

We know servitisation can be a transformational game changer for manufacturers looking to increase growth, improve competitiveness and increase customer retention, but what about their customers and industry partners? What are the opportunities for them, if any?

Servitisation is often described by academics as a long, complicated process but it doesn’t have to be that way. Some manufacturers are accelerating their service transformation process and creating more value for their customers via the use of innovative 3PL partnering.

One of the UK’s leading servitisation and aftermarket specialists, Adrian Botham, will present, discuss and explore a real-life practical example of how partnering with a 3PL enabled an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) to access new business opportunities with dramatic benefits for its customer too.

The webinar will be held on 3 April 2017, from 14:00 and consist of a 30-40 minute presentation to allow time for questions. Those who register and fail to attend will still be able to access a recording of the webinar for a short time afterwards but will obviously lose the opportunity to ask questions during the live webinar. We therefore encourage all registrants to attend live.

Speaker: Derek Small, Derek has worked around the world on six continents in sales, finance, procurement, production planning and operations management. He has become specialist in creating change leadership programmes. He is a committed life-long learner. He is passionate about helping businesses and organisations to do better, and has also gifted some of his time to helping students become better leaders.

At a time when there is much uncertainty in what the political future will bring, the only thing we can control is what we do and how we run our businesses and organisations. The best way to predict the future is to create it. Used properly Key Performance Indicators are an effective way to do this.
Derek Small is an expert in managing the end to end performance of manufacturing operations. He will identify how to measure performance in a way that delivers your goals whilst avoiding sub-optimal or even poor overall outcomes.
He will show ways in which we can more usefully respond to KPIs, and – perhaps – get rid of some of those that mislead management thinking and subvert overall business performance.
You tend to get what you measure, and what gets rewarded gets repeated – even if it leads to the wrong results.
