Our client is a leading provider of supply chain solutions in the UK, with contracts across a variety of sectors and an impressive network of distribution sites and vehicle fleets. The business is now looking for a highly experienced General Manager for their site in the Enfield area.
This role requires a confident communicator and leader who will build robust working relationships with all key stakeholders to ensure first-class operational performance, and to cement long-term strategic partnership contracts. The job holder will manage multiple contracts all of which require someone who can adapt to the needs and different priorities of the operation. You will be responsible for all contractual KPI’s and budget requirements across the contracts, whilst delivering a culture of efficiency and continuous improvement. This role calls for a hands-on manager who is well organised, results driven and commercially savvy. In addition, we seek the following skills in candidates:
▪ The ability to demonstrate senior management experience at GM level within a high-volume warehouse.
▪Drinks logistics or food logistics experience.
▪Experience of inspiring management teams
▪The ability to develop effective working relationships with clients and conduct regular customer reviews.
▪ The confidence to negotiate change within a unionised environment.
▪The ability to demonstrate the relevant skills and methodologies to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
