Supply Chain Visibility, Insight & Collaboration (A Series of Three Conversations): Dynamic insight for supply chain professionals; data, discovery & decision-making
Start Date:27 Oct 2020
End Date:27 Oct 2020
Event Code:C0382
Description:

Supply Chain Visibility, Insight & Collaboration (Oracle Conversation Series)

Supply chains have become a strategic board room topic as each organisation looks to not only remain a going concern but also serve the customers of today and tomorrow. Data plays a key role in enabling simultaneous delivery of the 5C performance drivers (Cost, Customer Experience, Carbon Footprint, Compliance and Human Capital). To understand data and collaborate successfully organisations must:

a)      Track, trace, and improve transparency and trust
b)      Have speed in decision-making and aligned execution
c)      Plan and collaborate across the network

Oracle, with support from CILT(UK), is delighted to welcome you to book your place at the conversation to discuss three differing aspects of supply chain visibility.  The conversations will be “fireside chats” for approximately 45 minutes.

Webinar 2: Dynamic insight for supply chain professionals; data, discovery & decision-making

Having multi-dimensional visibility and trust in the supply chain is a good foundation to make effective decisions. However, speed of decision making and ensuring those decisions get implemented are key to ensure the tricky balance of 5Cs is delivered.

In part two of this series we will discuss trends in the field of supply chain analytics and how to glean insights and improve decision making with machine learning predictions based on unified machine, product, customer, and operational data.

This webinar will consider:

  • Typical challenges that prevent speedy decision making and aligned execution
  • Near real-time access to value chain and machine data, and the possibilities this unlocks for decision-making capabilities
  • Client case studies:

- Holistic analytical dashboards to understand 5Cs in a single place
- Machine learning / artificial intelligence-based intelligent advisors based on unified machine, product, customer and operational data
- IoT based monitoring for exception management
- Reducing development and implementation costs

Vikram Singla FCILT

Vikram has been with Oracle for 13 years, most recently as Director of Strategy and Business Development,
focused on shaping business transformations with customers and driving go-to-market strategies for the digital transformation sales team in the UK. The role encompasses all industry verticals and finance/supply chain domains. He also leads the market development for the manufacturing sector and supply chain domain across enterprise accounts in the UK.

Earlier this year Vikram became a CILT(UK) Board Member and he is focused on supporting the Institute in three ways. Member-centric: members are the reason for the existence of the Institute and the focus would to simplify their journey, help them build strong networks. Digital: the current crisis has only exacerbated the need to get digital right and at pace, by ensuring members understand and articulate the value the digital can add in business terms. Strategic: as supply chains become a boardroom topic, leaders will need to find effective ways and a strong partner to help with the way people change, with CILT playing a strategic role of enabling continuous learning and helping to exchange ideas through progressive supply chain leaders.
