The transport and logistics industry has had to deal with numerous challenges in recent times. On top of the pandemic recovery and Brexit there have been numerous aftershocks – we have the driver shortage and lack of skilled engineers, the spiralling cost of wages and fuel, red diesel reforms, increased lead times for new vehicles and equipment. If that wasn’t enough, there have been numerous regulatory changes in addition to the introduction of Clean Air Zones, Ultra Low Emission Zone and the London Safety Permit.

This crisis is not only challenging the operation, but also affecting staff. With inflation soaring, an impending recession and the cost of living at a 40 year high – times are tough for our people. Money worries are a major factor in wellbeing and mental health and we need to be conscious of driver distraction, sleepless nights and poor nutrition that can all contribute to fatigue, stress, anxiety and depression.

Come along and join in the conversation with our panel of expert industry speakers, who will share their top tips and takeaways for successfully operating in the challenges of a changing world.
