Clipper Logistics inks long-term John Lewis deal

21 September 2016/Categories: Industry News

UK retailer John Lewis has signed a new long-term services contract with Clipper Logistics, continuing the long and successful relationship between the organisations.

The ten-year contract will see Clipper Logistics provide John Lewis with retail support services from its new distribution centre in Grange Park, Northampton, which spans 500,000 sq ft and was acquired by Clipper earlier in the year specifically to support its work with the retailer.

This site will now be used as John Lewis' national returns centre, handling e-fulfilment and store return activities, as well as providing pre-retailing services. Initial activity commenced in July 2016 and will support the John Lewis distribution centre in Magna Park, Milton Keynes.

Steve Parkin, executive chairman at Clipper Logistics, said: "We are delighted to be partnering with them once more and to have finalised this long-term contract to enable us to continue to support their operations in the UK."

Clipper Logistics also provides consultancy-led services to a number of businesses within the online fashion and general merchandise sectors, including Asda, SuperGroup, Morrisons, New Look, Tesco and Sainsbury's.
