Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport members have been recognised in the Queen’s New Year honours for 2017, which was released on December 30th.

Professor Peter Jones, Independent Transport Commissioner has been awarded a Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) for voluntary services to national transport policy. Professor Peter Jones has presented at various CILT events over the last few years including the Transport Practitioners' Meeting in 2013, 2014 and 2015.

Another CBE has been received by Rear Admiral Christopher Reginald Summers Gardner FCILT. Acting Sergeant Emmanuel Ikemefuna Ottih, CILT Learner, was awarded a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE).
