The HLA General Assembly 2017 will be held on 6th July at the Boma Hotel in Nairobi, Kenya.
Having last held a General Assembly in Africa in 2010, it's a good opportunity to bring members together again in the East Africa region. The theme of this year’s event will be: Innovations in Beating the Last Mile Challenge, with a focus on operations in the Horn of Africa.
Lately, the sector has seen a lot of discussion and initiatives involving drones, mobile technologies and market-based approaches to aid. Having asked some HLA members to share their experiences with those methods, they are now extending the invitation to those based in East Africa to join the conversation and learn from their peers.
Further details, including on the registration process, will be shared via separate e-mail, on their website and social media as the time approaches.
The GA will be followed by PSA’s Health and Humanitarian Supply Chain Summit 2017, supported by HLA and now open for registration here:

The theme for the Summit will be “Work as One: Greater Integration in the Supply Chain.”
The objective for the Summit is to explore health and humanitarian supply chain integration challenges in the East African Region and share updates/insights from the public, private and development sectors on how greater integration can be achieved between products, processes and partners.
