Holding a Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) is a pre-requisite for the Transport Commissioner to grant an Operator’s Licence. Therefore, CILT members aspiring to become Transport Managers, or looking to advance their careers and demonstrate their professional competence to meeting operator licensing requirements, are encouraged to register on CILT(UK)’s Level 3 CPC for Transport Managers in Road Haulage and Passenger Transport.

This course, offered by a leading approved centre of your Institute on behalf of the Department for Transport, will commence on Monday 11th November. It is due to be held at The Tapestry, part of the Fabric District, Liverpool.

The course will be delivered by industry experts from L Rumsby Logistics Consultants, an established organisation with more than 22 years’ experience of practical senior leadership, training, project management and consultancy within profession, and delegates will learn more about:

Civil Law
Commercial Law
Social Law
Fiscal Law
Business and Financial Management of the Undertaking
Access to the Market
Technical Standards and Technical Aspects of Operation
Road Safety

Over the course of eight one-day workshops, held within a four to six month period, delegates will gain an understanding of the competency requirements for a Transport Manager as laid out in Regulation (EC) No. 1071/20091. The qualification will be assessed by two exams across this period.
