CILT announces new construction logistics benefit with CSCS partnership

27 April 2020/Categories: CILT, Press Releases, Industry News, Freight Forwarding, Logistics & Supply Chain, Operations Management, Rail, Transport Planning

CILT is delighted to announce a ground-breaking new agreement benefiting its members who work in the construction sector.

In a new partnership with The Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS), members of CILT can now apply for CSCS Cards. The card scheme reflects the different occupations and qualifications in construction and provides proof that individuals working on construction sites have the appropriate training and qualifications for the jobs they do on site.

CILT members are now able to apply for CSCS cards, helping its members and logisticians within the sector to demonstrate that they are appropriately qualified.

The scheme plays an important part in improving standards and safety on UK construction sites.

Members of the following grades of CILT membership will be eligible to apply for the following CSCS cards:

Although holding a CSCS card is not a legislative requirement, most principal contractors and major house builders require them of construction workers on their sites.

Current members of CILT who are interested in applying for a CSCS Card must provide evidence of their CILT membership in the form of a letter or a scanned copy of their membership card.

The quickest and most convenient way to apply for a CSCS card is via the CSCS online application service accessed here.

For individuals who are not currently members of CILT and wish to apply for the scheme, please contact the CILT membership team for more information on becoming a member of CILT. 01536 740104

For more information and to make the most of this benefit, current members should contact membership@ciltuk.org.uk
