Guidance: Domestic and cross-border operations for rail transport

05 January 2021/Categories: CILT, Industry News, Active Travel & Travel Planning, Freight Forwarding, Logistics & Supply Chain, Rail, Transport Planning, Brexit

From 1 January 2021, you may need different documentation to run or work in the EU, on cross-border and on domestic UK rail services. In the large majority of cases, individuals and operators already have the necessary documentation – however, it is important that you have confirmed that it is the case and you do this as soon as possible.

Please see the full guidance here.

Please also refer to the European Commission’s notice, published on 28 April 2020, to prepare for the EU regime from 1 January 2021: the Withdrawal of the United Kingdom and EU Rules in the Field of Rail Transport.
