The Institute is delighted to announce that a number of its members and friends of the Institute have been recognised in the Queen’s New Year Honours List for 2022.

The Queen’s New Year Honours list 2022 recognises the outstanding achievements of people across the UK.

Knight Commander of the Order of the British Empire, Military Division (KBE - “Sir”)

  • Vice Admiral Christopher Reginald Summers Gardner CBE.

Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE)

  • Barclay John Davies, Director for Wales, Bus Users Cymru.  For services to public transport and to the Government.
  • Mark James Fowles, Lately Managing Director, Nottingham Transport.  For services to public transport and to charity.
  • David Wells, Chief Executive Officer, Logistics UK.  For services to transport and logistics during Covid-19.

Officer of the Order of the British Empire, Military Division (OBE)

  • Colonel Kirsten Julie Dagless.
