Hermes UK has announced a £11 million investment in its international business to continue to support the global e-commerce market.
To facilitate this expansion, Hermes UK has opened three brand new dedicated facilities:
· one in Essex that is 140,000 square feet with capacity to process around 150,000 parcels a day
· one in Heathrow at 80,000 square feet to manage its export and import operations
· one in Utrecht, Netherlands part of an 80,000 square feet facility, which will be the main transhipment hub in the Netherlands with a processing capacity of 70,000.
As part of the growth, over 150 jobs have been created - ranging from managerial to warehousing roles.
Heading up the International Division is Malcolm Barrell as Managing Director, International, Barrell who will report to CEO Martijn de Lange and Ed Ayyad will be the Director of International.
