Greater Anglia has carried out restoration work to Hatfield Peverel rail station in Essex.
The train operator has invested over £100,000 to repair and restore roof canopies to give the Victorian structure a new lease of life.
The works included removing the existing roof coverings and removing and replacing damaged timbers, before re-roofing and redecorating two canopies – one on the north side of the booking hall, and one on the south side.
Old guttering and downpipes have also been replaced.
Simone Bailey, Asset Management Director, Greater Anglia, said:
"Hatfield Peverel station now looks much smarter and is better protected from the elements as a result of this refurbishment."
