TfGM partners with InPost

01 November 2022/Categories: Active Travel & Travel Planning, Logistics & Supply Chain

Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) and InPost revealed a partnership that will see up to 28 parcel lockers rolled out across the Greater Manchester area by the end of the year, with 13 already installed and more planned for 2023.

The first 13 lockers are all set to be operational by Monday 31st October, and are located at key tram stops and transport interchanges across Greater Manchester, meaning customers can pick up parcels and send returns as a part of their everyday journeys.

Mike Mellor, Head of Commercial at TfGM, said: “The rollout of InPost Lockers at Metrolink stops and interchanges across Greater Manchester provides customers with a quick and easy way to collect and return parcels as part of their daily commute or journey across the network.

“TfGM has adopted an approach to develop new sustainable revenue streams through commercial partnerships for reinvestment into transport services.

“By creating partnerships like this one, we’re on our way to creating a truly integrated transport that supports multi-modal journeys and puts customer convenience at the heart of what we do.”

InPost is committed to providing consumers with a genuinely convenient and substantially improved ecommerce experience, while also contributing to positive environmental change and climate neutral cities.

The new InPost Lockers will enable contact-free parcel collection and returns, 24/7. This gives control back to consumers, saving them both time and hassle by putting an end to long queues on lunch breaks, waiting to return and send parcels.
