Training to help logistics companies tackle human trafficking and modern-day slavery

18 April 2023/Categories: Operations Management, Corporate News

Former Senior Police Officer and UK Home Office Modern Day Slavery and Organised Immigration Crime unit leader, Andre Tringham, launched STA Consultants to raise awareness, provide consultancy advice and deliver training to help road haulage and logistics businesses protect their business, their reputations and victims from the growing crime of Human Trafficking and Modern Day Slavery, helping to break the chain of exploitation and suffering put in place by Organised Crime groups.

STA is to provide guidance, advice, information, system audits, training and consultancy services to protect businesses, enable staff to recognise the signs, feel confident in incident reporting and provide a lifeline for the victims of this growing element of organised crime.

STA is committed to helping businesses protect themselves against the brand and reputational damage that can result in their company being used for Human Trafficking and Modern-Day Slavery. STA is working with the industry to establish, embed and continue to develop best practice and KPI’s for individual operators and the industry as a whole.

Andre Tringham, Managing Director, STA Consultants, said:

"I am really excited about what STA, my experience and expertise can offer business owners and operators in road haulage and logistics. By helping people better protect their businesses we reduce the opportunities for this industry sector to be used for the exploitation of victims.”
