Dynamo Welfare Project launched at O'Donovan

15 May 2023/Categories: Logistics & Supply Chain, Operations Management

O’Donovan Waste has entered phase two of their internal wellbeing strategy called the ‘Dynamo Welfare Project’, continuing their commitment to prioritising the workplace wellness of their team alongside their physical safety whilst valuing the person as opposed to the role they play in the business.

The family-run waste management business is widely regarded as an innovator and a champion for health and safety, training and environmental excellence.

The development of the Dynamo project is part of a pledge to staff development. The in-house training assists staff in maintaining positive health and wellbeing by teaching self-awareness techniques and the tools to manage a range of challenging emotions including anxiety.

Jacqueline O’Donovan, Managing Director, O'Donovan said:

“O'Donovan was the first company in the waste sector to introduce a wellbeing strategy back in 2019 and the timing could not have been better. Our team are our biggest asset and the training they had undertaken stood them in good stead for the challenges and uncertainty that the pandemic brought about. Now it is time for the next phase and we are delighted to update the training content which continues to focus on supporting the resilience and mental health of our colleagues. We consider safeguarding their physical and mental health a top priority. The ongoing investment in this type of interactive training demonstrates to staff that their wellbeing continues to be of paramount importance.”
