CILT members and industry colleagues receive King’s Birthday Honours

The Institute is delighted to share that a number of its members and friends of the Institute have been recognised in the King’s Birthday Honours List for 2023. The list recognises the outstanding achievements of people across the UK. 

Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE)

  • Brigadier Anna Clare Luedicke OBE, Army, Affiliate. 

Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE)

  • Michael Kenneth Claridge FCILT, Operations and Customer Interface Team Leader, DE&S, MOD.  For services to defence.  
  • Jacqueline O’Donovan FCILT, Managing Director, O’Donovan Waste Disposal.  For services to recycling, to safety and to industry.  
  • Howard Geoffrey Smith FCILT, Director of the Elizabeth Line, TfL.  For services to transport in London.  

Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE)

  • Andrew Malcolm, Chief Executive Officer, WH H Malcolm Limited.  For services to the transport industry.  
  • Captain (now Acting Major) Matthew Speirs McNairn, Army Reserve, CMILT.
