DX announced the opening of a new depot in Norwich. The opening significantly increases the Group’s capacity in the region and continues DX’s programme to expand and develop its depot network. It follows the opening of the first of 15 former Tuffnells Express Limited depots, secured in late June from Tuffnells’ Administrator, and is in addition to these depots.
The new site is located in Caley Close, north-west of the Norwich city centre and comprises a 23,913 sq ft facility. It is the latest addition to the Group’s Parcels network, part of the DX Express division, which provides highly secure, tracked deliveries to both business and consumer addresses. The new depot also improves operational efficiencies, reduces stem mileage and carbon emissions, and enhances customer service levels, a key focus for the Group.
Paul Ibbetson, Chief Executive Officer of DX (Group) plc, said:
"The current financial year is a major year of investment. This latest depot opening in Norwich significantly increases our capability in the area for both our Parcels and Freight operations. It also delivers further efficiencies, environmental and customer service benefits.
