Specialist aerospace logistics company, B&H Worldwide, has completed its first successful engine transportation and storage on behalf of Singapore Airlines.

Recently commissioned by Singapore Airlines, B&H had a mission to transport a GE90 engine from Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport to Singapore. The B&H Worldwide team are no strangers to the GE90 series engine type, completing transportation assignments for other airline customers numerous times over the years.

Sation Manger of B&H Worldwide Singapore, David Wong, said: “B&H Worldwide has a strong track record in aircraft engine transport and storage for many airlines around the world.

“Combined with our company’s warehousing and FSL facilities located in strategic aviation hubs we offer a strong value proposition.

“We are proud that Singapore Airlines has chosen us for this job and our teams are fully committed to meet the transport and logistics needs of our aerospace customers” he added.

The engine weighs 10,700kg and it took B&H just 3 days to complete the shipment. B&H warehouse facility in Singapore Changi Airport is where the engine is currently being safely stored. Storage requirements for this powerful engine are that it is mounted on a specialist engine stand at 23-24°C with a 64-65% humidity level.
