CILT issues a code of conduct message to members

17 October 2023/Categories: CILT, Institute News, Membership

Dear members,

CILT(UK) is a members' organisation that relies on a balance of volunteers and a small team of employed staff to enable us to deliver our charitable aims. Our success depends upon us working together and each member of staff or volunteer brings a valuable contribution to the institute. We would therefore like to remind members that treating everyone with respect and professionalism is a minimum expected of all our members. In particular, our small team of staff  have a right to come to work and feel safe, respected and valued for their efforts. Rude, disrespectful or abusive behaviour and/or language will not be tolerated. In the event of such behaviour, team members have the right to terminate a conversation and/or refuse a request for assistance from a member.

The team have the full support of the CEO and the Board of CILT (UK).

We are in the process of revising the CILT Code of Conduct and in the meantime should anyone be in any doubt as to the standards of behaviour expected of all members, please contact Vikram Singla, Chair CILT (UK).  chair@ciltuk.org.uk
