About the role
This is a crucial role in VEV’s Sales and Marketing process focusing on lead generation, qualification, and initial outreach. Your primary responsibility will be to identify and engage new potential clients, utilising desktop research of our target prospects and contacts then outreach using personalised emails, cold calling, email campaigns, and social media. Once first contact is made, seek to qualify the prospects requirements and its match to VEV’s offer using qualification frameworks like BANT or MEDDIC. This will include nurturing prospect accounts with colleagues and expanding our knowledge of the needs across the buying centre. Qualified leads are then handed to our sales team for further nurturing and development.
Role and Responsibilities
- Lead Generation: Identify and prospect new leads through various channels, including cold calls, emails, and social media outreach.
- Qualification: Qualify leads by assessing their needs, budget, decision-making authority, and timeline using frameworks like BANT or MEDDIC.
- Outbound Outreach: Engage with leads via phone, email, and LinkedIn to introduce our products and services, build relationships, and generate interest.
- Pipeline Management: Maintain accurate records of interactions with prospects in our HubSpot CRM system, tracking your interactions and engagement plans.
- Collaboration: Work closely with sales and marketing teams to ensure alignment on messaging, target account profiles, and strategies.
- Nurture: Regularly follow up with prospects to maintain engagement and move leads through the qualification process.
- Reporting: Track and report on lead generation activities, including outreach efforts, lead conversion rates, qualified meetings and sales pipeline development.
The successful candidate will be:
Highly motivated, resilient, persistent, and organised, with strong communication skills and the ability to research and target the right prospects. You will be working closely with both the sales and marketing teams in a two-way learning process where you are learning about our constantly evolving offer and your valuable insight gained from multiple prospect conversations.
Nurturing early prospects’ interest over several months until such time as they have created a defined internal project.
You will primarily be a remote worker, with the ability to occasionally come into our brand-new London office, near Victoria station.
The role offers opportunities for advancement into sales or marketing management within a growing organisation.
Experience and qualifications required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organisational and personal time management abilities.
- Ability to research and identify potential leads using various digital tools.
- Comfortable with outbound sales techniques, including cold calling and email outreach.
- Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset.
- Resilience and persistence in managing rejection and continuing outreach.
- English language essential at the level of native fluency.
- Experience in the road transport industry desirable.
- Prior experience in sales, particularly in complex solutions, is a significant advantage
- Sales user of CRM software (HubSpot, Salesforce, Dynamics etc.) is a plus
