Norbert Dentressangle (ND) has won one of "Europe's largest logistic deals" with fashion retailer ASOS.
Worth over £100 million, the three-year contract means ND will oversee ASOS's global distribution centre in Barnsley, which employs over 1,200 people and has a floorspace of 1.1 million square feet - distributing to 241 countries.
Business development director for ND Martin Palmer said: "Both we and ASOS operate on an increasingly global basis and we are confident that this new contract marks the beginning of a long-term, strategic partnership between our two companies."
Recent growth saw ASOS improve sales by 45 per cent compared to last year. It has already submitted a proposal for expansion to the Barnsley centre, which could effectively double storage at the location.
ASOS previously outsourced to Unipart Logistics. Under the new contract, all staff are offered the chance to transfer from Unipart to ND.
ND also has contracts with other online multi-channel retailers, including Marks & Spencer, House of Fraser and Shop Direct Group.
