Hi Logistics - an extension of LG Electronics - has agreed a deal to secure its first logistics centre in the UK.
The international company has a pre-let at Park Ryton, West Midlands, for a facility with an area space of 165,200 square foot.
Dongcheol Kim, vice president of Hi Logistics, said: "This new building is an important step towards establishing our own distribution network in the UK."
Mr Kim also stated the firm was working to a tight timetable. Since the location already has planning permission, construction may be able to start as early as September.
Well connected, the facility is located within reach from the M6, M69 and M40/M5.
The new facility is let by Prologis and it builds on the premises being used by Hi Logistics - it already has facilities in the United States, the Netherlands and Poland.
The announcement comes after recent figures suggest confidence is strong in the UK's logistics sector. DHL has already stated many companies expect profitability and turnover to increase this year.
