United Cargo, an extension of United Airlines, is migrating its revenue and logistics systems to mercator's SkyChain and RAPID cargo.
Doing so has created one of the airline industry's largest IT logistics solutions.
Mukund Srinivasan, vice president for mercator, said: "While the global industry grows, and the world becomes better connected, we strive to put our aviation expertise to our customer's service."
Mr Srinivasan also stated mercator's systems would become a foundation for future improvements for United Cargo.
Upgrades to the system include features for six custom authorities, including the UK, which SkyChain is directly connected to.
United Airlines was previously using 20 systems and moving from these has saved millions of dollars due to a reduction in operating costs.
The airline is expecting bookings in excess of two million annually. It has at least 6,000 daily flights and more than 700 aircraft. Geographically, it serves ten major hub destinations and over 400 airports globally.
