Logistic and trade opportunities between the US and UK were discussed as part of Consul General Beverley Simpson's recent attendance at Wyoming.
The visit to the American state looked at potential trade for UK businesses, including those in logistics and tourism. Consul General Simpson went on to highlight the Transatlantic Trade & Investment Partnership (TTIP) as a way to both reduce trade barriers and improve exports between the two countries.
First discussed in July 2013, the TTIP would improve and encourage trade between the US and Europe if it is created, making it more beneficial for businesses and industries involved.
The Consul General also attended a meeting with the Governor of Wyoming Matt Mead and talks took place on a possible trip to the UK, to stimulate trade, in the future.
In addition to raising the British Consulate General's profile, the occasion also looked at other areas of interest, including those of energy, nuclear and mining. Trade opportunities for these areas were also discussed.
