A planning application for a massive beer distribution centre to the east of Derby has been lodged by developer Goodman.
The firm has submitted the bid on behalf of Kuehne + Nagel Drinksflow Logistics, which has secured a significant supply deal with Heineken.
Costing £45 million, the Derby Commercial Park will be based off Raynesway, to the north of the A6 Alvaston Bypass and will cover 632,285 sq ft.
There is a general shortage of large warehouses and distribution centres across the UK, so it is always big news when a major new project emerges.
A statement from Goodman read: "We can confirm that a planning application has been submitted for a 632,285 sq ft distribution building on behalf of Kuehne + Nagel Drinksflow Logistics and Heineken."
Goodman is involved in a number of significant developments across the country.
In May, the firm announced that Kent County Council had agreed to pre-let a 110,000 sq ft warehouse, which is based just off junction four of the M20.
