Aldi will be the first company to take up residency at the Logistics North park near Bolton, as it looks to grow its business in the north-west.
The supermarket chain will erect a 41,000 sq m distribution centre at the site and it should be up and running by early 2016.
Logistics North is operated by Harworth Estates and bosses at the company are determined to transform the area into a major employment hub.
Chief executive at the firm Owen Michaelson said this park is "one of the few with space to build a single building of up to 1,000,000 sq ft" and he is delighted to welcome Aldi to the site.
It is hoped the retailer will create 100 new jobs by moving to Logistics North and a further 300 roles could be made in stores throughout the north-west.
A number of renowned companies have launched sizeable new warehouses and distribution centres in recent months, including Marks & Spencer, which opened a 900,000 sq ft facility in Castle Donington.
