Doddle set to branch out to university campuses

08 April 2015/Categories: CILT, Industry News

The firm has just opened its first shop at the University of Salford’s student village and intends to open at least nine more on other campuses, part of a plan to expand Doddle’s network of 32 UK stores to 100 before the end of the year.

Doddle allows customers to use its stores as collection points for parcels ordered from any retailer, online and bricks and mortar, regardless of the carrier.

Customers can also use it to return unwanted packages. Since its launch last year, Doddle has targeted commuters and the majority of its sites are located at or near major stations.

Chief executive Tim Robinson said: 'The universities launch is an extension of the offering we have in train stations.

Customer service and convenience is in the Doddle DNA.

We will continue to look for new ways to make parcel collection and sending easier.'
