Arrow XL, the UK's leading two-man delivery specialist, has gained its first awards win at the annual Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) North West Awards, taking home the Freight Transport Best Practice award.
The celebration follows the company's recent re-brand, which alongside its new brand identity, saw Arrow XL invest in a 750,000 sq ft warehousing facility in Wigan. The new site in Wigan has significantly improved Arrow XL's core offering, providing a fully secure 550,000 sq ft warehousing facility and an additional 200,000 sq ft delivery hub for its national delivery network, expanding the business' capacity even further.
It was this new site and service proposition that gained accreditation from CILT, highlighting the significant steps Arrow XL has already taken in shifting from simply a delivery company, to an organisation offering a full logistics solution across its network, with a high standard of customer care.
Gary Monk, CEO of Arrow XL said: "Winning this award truly reflects Arrow XL's growing ambitions and it's fantastic to have our team's hard work recognised in this way. As this award demonstrates, Arrow XL is a company committed to innovation and as we continue to grow and develop our offering, we hope this honour will be the first of many."
The CILT (UK)'s Annual Awards for Excellence recognises achievements across the entire logistics and transport industry. The Freight Transport Best Practice category specifically looks to award outstanding achievement in any aspect of transport, including operations, processes and service.
The awards ceremony took place following a gala dinner on Friday 14th June 2013, where Arrow XL was presented with its award by the CILT.
