Stansted Airport has had its best year in seven years when it comes to passenger numbers. From April 2014 to April 2015 over twenty million people flew into or out of the terminal. It's the first time since May 2009 that Stansted has passed the twenty-one million mark in a 12-month period. The airport handled 1.91 million passengers last month - a 10.7% rise on April 2014 and the best April at the Essex airport since 2007.
