DPD agrees to service contract with Mercedes-Benz Vans

29 May 2015/Categories: CILT, Industry News, Logistics & Supply Chain

The DPD Group has made a bespoke service contract agreement with Mercedes Benz Vans.

A significant focus on vehicle uptime is one of the key features of the tailored offering, which will see Mercedes provide vehicles for DPD's Region 6.

Aberdeen, Carlisle and Dundee are covered by this area, in addition to two sites in Glasgow and Edinburgh.

Routine service costs with all parts and labour are included in the Complete Care solution developed for DPD, a well as lubricants, friction materials and clutch friction materials, MOT test fees, repair or replacement of engine, and a host of other considerations.

Executive director for central operations at the DPD Group Charlie Shiels said: "This decision takes our relationship with Mercedes-Benz to a new strategic level."

It is hoped DPD will be able to enroll its entire fleet of Mercedes-Benz vans into the Complete Care Service Contract over the next two years.
