Eurowings open up new flight destinations in Europe and Southeast Asia

30 July 2015/Categories: CILT, Industry News, Active Travel & Travel Planning, Aviation

New Eurowings continue to expand their short-haul and medium-haul flight plan by adding new attractive destinations.

The new Eurowings will offer point-to-point connections to popular travel destinations within Europe from Vienna International Airport.

During the winter months between the 9th November 2015 and the 26th March 2016, passengers can book flights from Vienna to Barcelona or Palma de Mallorca.

From the 9th November 2015, six times a week, Eurowings will also fly from Vienna to London Stansted; and in addition, three times a week from Vienna to Rome.

Vienna International Airport will be the first Eurowings location outside Germany, and new Eurowings flights will head for the new destinations in an Airbus A320 which is run and operated by Austrian Airlines. Flights will be offered by Austrian Airlines as code sharing flights.

“We look forward to welcoming our sister airline Eurowings in Vienna shortly. Together, we will provide our customers with an even greater flight network at attractive prices”, says Andreas Otto, CCO of Austrian Airlines, the ‘operating carrier’ of flights operated from Austria.

Furthermore, there is good news for all Eurowings’ lang-haul passengers flying from Cologne/Bonn. A new interline agreement between Eurowings and Bangkok Airways facilitates smooth travelling to further dream holiday destinations in Southeast Asia.

When arriving in Bangkok, customers of the existing Eurowings’ long-haul route can change to various connection flights provided by Bangkok Airways. Travel destinations made accessible within this partnership are, Koh Samui, the Thai destinations Krabi, Chiang Mai and Udon Thani as well as the Cambodian destinations Phnom Penh and Siem Reap.
