Logistics real estate developer IDI Gazeley has announced the completion of an innovative new 56,000 sq ft Parcel Distribution Hub for small package carrier TNT.
The project was completed in just 26 weeks and will add some much needed capacity to TNT's fast expanding business delivery service in the south-west of England.
IDI Gazeley and TNT worked closely together on the project, which was designed to allow TNT maximum flexibility to access the the facility with a large number of vehicles at any given time.
To this end, it features 101 loading doors to improve the speed of operations, and the site is close to junction 15 of the M4 motorway, offering rapid connections throughout the south.
Director of operations at TNT Simon Harper said: "This facility is our biggest infrastructure investment in the UK for 15 years, and the result that we've achieved has been first class."
