Palletforce is set to be taken over by EmergeVest - the private equity fund that also purchased NFT Distribution in 2014.
The firm expects to be able to continue to benefit from continued investment in its distribution service as a result of the move.
Further to this, Palletforce will also be able to continue building on its existing relationships with the 88 member firms of its award-winning network.
New international commercial opportunities will be created for Palletforce through its new partnership with EmergeVest, as the latter group has logistics interests in China. This could lead to the emergence of the company onto the global stage.
Palletforce chairman John Brotherton said: "I am convinced that the highly successful management team at Palletforce will take this business to new heights. EmergeVest will be a supportive partner to them and our members."
