Automation and power technologies company ABB has selected Carousel as a logistics partner within its UK Drives Business Unit.
Carousel is tasked with supporting ABB's field engineer team by using a dedicated IT system developed and tailored for ABB's particular requirements.
A period of consultation was carried out by Carousel to establish ABB's needs and ambitions, which made it possible for the firm to create an appropriate solution.
Flexible delivery options and robust reverse logistics are incorporated into the offering, which is expected to ensure complete efficiency within ABB's supply chain.
The new IT system will also provide increased visibility and better control of parts throughout the logistics process.
Customer support coordination manager at the ABB Drives Business Unit David Phillips said: "From the very first few days with Carousel it was clear they had a unique approach and a completely different set of capabilities than we’d seen before."
