DPD agrees new deal on new delivery depot in Lincoln

28 August 2015/Categories: CILT, Industry News, Logistics & Supply Chain

DPD has signed a 20-year lease on a new delivery depot, with the parcel delivery firm taking a 42,783 sq ft unit at the Network 46 scheme overseen by Graftongate.

Planning permission was only recently granted for work to be carried out on the site - so construction is set to begin from April 2016, Logistics Manager reports.

GVA Bilfinger and Pygott & Crone are currently acting as letting agents for the depot, while DPD was advised on the new deal by sbh International.

This comes in the wake of DPD outlining plans to invest a total of £150 million in ten new depots up and down the country, in a move that is expected to create 750 jobs.

Chief executive officer of the firm Dwain McDonald said: "Our record over the last five years speaks for itself with revenue up over £500 million and 4,000 new jobs created."
