Emirates is offering UK customers the opportunity to use Apple Pay to pay for flights. Thierry Antinori, chief commercial officer at Emirates, said: “We’re proud to be the first global airline to introduce Apple Pay for ticket purchases and we hope this will contribute towards a more seamless customer experience which begins even before they board our flights.” Some airlines such as Vueling already offer UK customers the opportunity to use Apple Pay through their apps. Emirates will offer Apple Pay within its app making online booking through a single touch. The airline launched an Android app in June enabling passengers to book flights and manage bookings on its global mobile platform. Apple Pay, which was launched in the UK in July, is compatible with iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3. Source: BuyingBusinessTravel
