Plans for new Leeds logistics hub move ahead

21 September 2015/Categories: Industry News

Planning permission has been granted by Leeds City Council to open up an additional 950,000 sq ft of new industrial space at Aire Valley Land's Temple Green logistics hub.

Temple Green is already the largest of the four development sites in the Leeds City Region Enterprise Zone.

The Leeds City Region Enterprise Zone is a major hub for companies operating in the north of England, with retail giant John Lewis among those that have recently opened new warehouse sites there.

Planning permissions currently in place will take the size of the Temple Green site up to 2.64 million sq ft of developed space at J45 of the M1, Logistics Manager reports.

Direct access to the development scheme is being offered by an infrastructure and groundworks programme, which can accommodate up to 500,000 sq ft of industrial, manufacturing, storage and distribution space.
