Pharmaceutical distributor Celesio, which is the parent company of high street vendor Lloyds and AAH Pharmaceuticals, has signed a 12 month rolling contract with TNT.
This will see the distribution giant provide a fleet of vehicles and drivers to handle deliveries for Celesio.
Collections will be made from AAH distribution centres and distributed to pharmacies, dispensing chemists, prisons and doctors surgeries up and down the country.
TNT will also offer prescription deliveries direct from the Celesio pharmacy network to patients in their homes.
Neil Donoghue, national transport manager for Celesio, said TNT was selected as in terms of logistics, it understands what his company needs to do to develop as a business.
"We have a really strong working relationship with them as they always listen to our needs and respond swiftly. The Logistics Solutions team take full responsibility, providing fully equipped vehicles for retail and community deliveries," he commented.
