Meachers Global Logistics has strengthened its management team through the appointment of Jamie Terris as fleet director.
The Southampton-based firm currently uses a fleet of more than 70 vehicles from Southampton, as well as Derby in the north of England.
Substantial growth across a range of all core business areas has been achieved by Meachers, which has continued to invest in new vehicles as a result of this success.
Jamie Terris has more than 25 years of experience throughout the industry, having held several positions in Meachers and its subsidiary firm KL Commercials.
"Trucks are in my blood," he remarked, adding that he has been employed in the HGV workshop and the traffic office, helping the development of the fleet since 2005.
Managing director Stuart Terris said: "No one understands the Meachers fleet better than Jamie and his experience is a huge asset to the future development of the business."
