Long-term sponsors Diageo ended its three-year sponorship deal in 2013, leaving TfL to fund it themselves last year. The expansion of the Overground network and the incorporation of the old Metro line into TfL Rail mean this year’s free travel offer will apply to more routes than it has at any time since 2001, when it launched.
