Industry behaviours charter signed by oil and gas

14 December 2015/Categories: Industry News

Oil and Gas UK's Efficiency Task Force (ETF) launched the Industry Behaviours Charter at the trade association's AGM and Joint Council will full support from its Board.

The members of the ETF's Board represent a cross-section of representatives from across the oil and gas industry.

Signed on Wednesday 9th December, the Charter is a collaborative commitment by members of Oil and Gas UK's board and the Oil and Gas Authority to work together to achieve positive changes for the UK's offshore oil and gas industry.

CEO of Oil and Gas UK Deirdre Michie said that the improved performance of the industry was dependent on "real collaboration between operators, major contractor and SMEs, embedding new ways of working and creating new business models".

She continued that the ETF was going to be a main driving force of support for this shift, but to be fully functional it needs backing from the rest of the industry.
