Three new Latin American routes for IAG

16 December 2015/Categories: Industry News

International Airlines Group (IAG) Cargo is set to open up three new Latin American routes from London Gatwick Airport to San Jose, Costa Rica and Lima.

The cargo section of the airline company will also be operating flights from Madrid to San Juan in Puerto Rico, reports Logistics Manager.

The first of these flights will be launched on 15th May in 2016 and will operate consistently three times a week, while Gatwick flights will be available to Lima on 4th May that year.

Flights on the Madrid to San Juan route will be serviced by an Iberia Airbus A330-200 and each flight will carry a payload of up to 15 tonnes per week.

Prior to the launch of flights from Madrid to San Juan, flights will be departing twice a week from Gatwick to San Jose from 27th April next year.

Regional commercial manager of Latin America at IAG Cargo Rodrigo Casal said that the aim of these new flights was to "give more capacity, flexibility and choice when it comes to shipping goods to Latin America".
