Construction of the warehouse started in August 2015 and is scheduled for completion in April this year.
Hellmann will use the facility to support the expansion of its UK business.
Andrew Sulston, director of contract logistics and consulting at Hellmann Worldwide Logistics, said: “We already work with Prologis in Europe and the Americas, so we are confident that the team will deliver a high quality distribution centre that will be ready to meet our operational deadline.”
The distribution centre has been designed to achieve a minimum BREEAM 2011 Excellent accreditation and the best EPC rating possible for its size.
