Amazon's new Prime Now service is now available throughout various areas of Liverpool, in the north-west of England.

The online retailer's service delivers items one hour after customers have placed their order and a two-hour service will also be available in other areas close to Liverpool, reports Logistics Manager.

Liverpool's Knotty Ash, Stoneycroft and Garston will now be able to receive one-hour delivery on over 15,000 of Amazon's products. Meanwhile, Birkenhead, Warrington and Wigan are to benefit from the two-hour service from the online retailer.

Director of Prime Now Jason Weston said: "[It] is our fastest delivery option ever and we are excited to make it available for customers in Liverpool.

"Whether it's essentials like fresh milk, nappies or even a last minute gift, customers love the convenience of delivery straight to their door in less than sixty minutes."

According to the Amazon website, Prime members will be able to receive a one-hour delivery for £6.99. A two-hour or same-day delivery scenario can be dispatched at no extra cost to the order.
