Swiss will enable travellers to make phone calls and send SMS text messages and data on a trial one-year period. The airline said phone services will only be available at service times during night flights and as soon as the cabin lights are switched off the feature may no longer be used. The aircraft will enter service next month, and according to Swiss will be deployed “primarily on services to Hong Kong, Bangkok, Los Angeles, San Francisco, São Paulo and Tel Aviv”.
