Delivery company Parcelforce is set to make its tracked globalpriority return service available for retailers who send packages to Australia.
This marks a big occasion for the company as Australia is the first country outside of the European Union to benefit from the express return that forms part of the parcel business' service.
The company's decision to do this was largely because Australia is one of the most popular international shipping destinations for Parcelforce Worldwide customers.
Royal Mail, which owns Parcelforce, ran a survey on the preferences and habits of online shoppers and found that a third of Australian shoppers had bought something from a UK website in the three months leading up to April 2015.
Parcelforce intends for globalservice to make it easier for UK online retailers to provide international shoppers with a trackable return service for unwanted items. As a result, the company feels that this will improve its customers' overall buying experience.
Customers can expect their returned items to arrive in the UK within three to four days thanks to this globalpriority return service.
