Supply chain company Gist has renewed its refrigerated trailer fleet programme and has chosen Carrier Transicold to transport its goods.
Gist has selected Transicold's Vector 1550 fridge units to fulfil the company's 91-strong fleet, reports Logistics Manager.
The mono-temperature systems from Transicold will mostly be transporting chilled items around the UK on behalf of the retail food industry.
According to Transport Engineer, the vehicles join 2,500 other trailers that operate across various areas of Europe, including in Austria, France and Holland, among others.
Gist engineering director Sam de Beaux said: "In the chilled distribution world, time is of the essence [so] by selecting the Vector 1550 we can continue to maximise uptime for our customers, thanks to the units' low maintenance requirements."
He added that this unit "was the right choice to meet the needs of the business and ensure we are providing our customers with the best in cold chain performance".
